New Series: On Wednesdays We Journal

If you know me, you know it’s *journal, journal, journal* to the tune of *Marcia Marcia Marcia*. Typically, whenever I hit a creativity road block, I can count on my journal to help me flush it out. Lately, I’ve been so creatively blocked (for so many reasons) that I haven’t even been journaling.

For the longest time, I’ve been thinking about starting a new weekly thing for myself to help keep me accountable in ensuring I do a brain dump. So “On Wednesdays we Journal” was born. What can I say – I’m a millennial. This idea came to me in 2020 and I have done nothing with it until today when this little surprise showed up on my doorstep:

One of my BFFs texted me earlier in the week saying she bought something for me and it should arrive by Friday. It arrived today – Wednesday. It’s a JOURNAL “full of prompts and quotes for some serious reflection and growth” and WOW IF THAT AIN’T A SIGN I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS!!! Ps – you can follow the author on instagram here or check out her site here.

This journal is so on time it’s not even funny. Being creatively blocked and full of uncertainty is no joke. Last year, I made a commitment to doing more shadow work…have I been doing it? No. Have I been journaling weekly? Also no. You know what I HAVE been doing though? Resting (lots of this), getting back into my beloved early morning workouts, better nutrition, and creating a monthly budget workbook (I don’t know man my Capricorn moon was THRIVING this month). While I’ve been LOVING the rest, exercise, etc., I’m also missing a key element of my mental wellness by not journaling.

So with this journal, I thee wed renew my commitment to On Wednesdays We Journal. And you should absolutely join me if you want to get into journaling. You can follow along over on instagram and using the hashtag #onwednesdayswejournal

Cheers to self reflection, growth, and the best friends a girl could ever ask for.
